Our history
COAS was founded in December 2023 as a consortium of agricultural producers with the aim of enhancing the quality and autonomy of their companies. Although the consortium was established recently, our 18 members boast thirty years of experience in the fruit and vegetable sector. In the past, our producers were affiliated with large sector organisations, where their products converged. Today, thanks to their determination and vision, they have created independent structures, equipped with highly technological machinery and latest-generation cold storage to ensure optimal storage and impeccable packaging.
Our organizational structure
The COAS consortium stands out for its efficient and well-coordinated organizational structure. Our members are located in four strategic regions of Southern Italy: Calabria, Sicily, Puglia and Basilicata, territories suited to the cultivation of high-quality products.
Within COAS, member companies operate in synergy, with some choosing to share a single packaging facility, working as a team to optimize resources and ensure maximum efficiency.
The packaging of the products is carried out homogeneously among all the associated structures, respecting a rigorous specification. A team of area managers supervises each phase of the process: from the selection of the raw material, to the quality control, up to the control of packaging and labeling, guaranteeing high and uniform standards.
Logistics management is centralized at our commercial headquarters located in Bari, from where the flow of production to the national and foreign markets is coordinated.
